10 things to be ready

OK, finally the mom's gown colours are fixed. Chosen by the mother in law. It's maroon purplish. And I don't know what my mom will say about it. I hope she is ok. Coz' one of them will have to give way.



When you becoming adults....especially when you become married adults, there are many things you will need to learn.



1. Be patience to everyone. Hold your emotion & anger

2. Learn to respect not to love. Coz' when you love you expect more and you get hurt

3. Be prepared to see different things, the change and be ready to change.

4. Honestly doesn't work. It only works with people who truely love you. Sometimes, just pretend or saying what others want to hear could save your life.

5. Learn to say sorry, to forgive and forget

6. Be gentle.

7. Don't be too sensitive with people's opinions. They don't matter to you, ...seriously.

8. Don't forget to look good. Still taking care of your body, your skin, your dress like you used to. Don't suddenly turn into ugly woman or fat man.

9. Don't trying to side your own family. Always be fair to your husband/wife.

10. When you are married, you are having a new family. A family that belong to both of you. So always remember that, coz' everything else does not matter.

Wedding update

I think we are almost done with our wedding preparation.

We got our wedding cake from Justin Cake @ Gajah Mada.
Actually we got Rp. 3.5 Jt voucher from Ritz Carlton to get wedding cakes from 3 selected shops. But these shops, the cakes are way too expensive. A mock cake can cost > Rp. 10 juta (it's crazy).

It makes no difference whether you have voucher or not. Happily, we chose a 5 layer cake (1.85 m tall), that we can decorated with real grapes. It only cost us Rp. 2 jt. And we exchange the cake voucher from Ritz Carlton with 2 nights hotel stay.

Yesterday we took photos that we will use to register our marriage. It feels kind of weird to look @ the photo and think that oh this guy will be my husband!.

I have just received the run down time table for our wedding day. When I read through it and imagine about the timing on the real day, I suddenly feel, Oh my God, I am getting married for real! for real you know..(it's not a dream, a game or an imagination)...and after this wedding, I am going to live like any other married couple. The kid? ....the freedom...oh No..no more...late sleep & being lazy.....

Finally, it's 3 more months.

The souvenir has been fixed. I am making my own parfume gift!. We will customized the bottle, the packaging and everything. It doesn't turn out to be very cheap, but it's ok, coz' it's special.

Our decor for the day, it will be beautiful I think. I trust that guy. He is good!

Finally...I think and I hope we can use this 3 months to rest...and spend our days..as dating couples...with alot of freedom & fun :)

The most complicated stuff in wedding

The most complicated stuff in wedding is fixing the "Mothers' gowns"

My mom, she said:
- No Green & Grey were bad luck for her this year
- No blues (coz' she already had many of that colours in her wardrobes
- Better not to choose purple and pink coz' she won't look nice wearing that colours.
- I wants sunkist orange colours, she insisted one morning sending me 3 smses which I didn't reply.

Why?

Because I am stuck between my mom & my mother in law to be.

What happens to my mother in law?

- A few weeks ago she said she wants navy blue.
- She doesn't want pink coz' she has alot of that colours in her wardrobe
- She doesn't want green coz' last yr she wore that on her 2nd son's wedding
- She hates red
- Now she said No to blue colour coz' her sister, her daughter, her 2nd daughter in law said, the colour is not elegant.
- Today, she told me she wants purplish marroon, a dark colour that almost look black to me.

Besides that, my mom already decided she will wear blue cheongsam for our party in Medan.
And this morning, my mother in law told me she wants to make blue gown to wear for Church, asking my mom to change her dress. My mom has decided to wear black during the church ceremony.

So, my mom needs to buy another dress for our wedding in Medan? She is going to Kill me for sure. Cut me off into small pieces. And now, I haven't called my mom for 2 weeks. I am terribly scared she is going to shout at me coz' I can't tell her that I haven't fixed her dress yet.

Sunkist orange, purle maroon and what else? Sigh sigh sigh....
