My bf just moved to his new room. This will be our wedding bedroom.
We are looking for new mattress.
And..I really like the walking wardrobe. The toilet is big too.
Most importantly, we have a new big LCD TV and home theatre. We are big fan of watching DVD at home!.
We will buy...lazy chair. And I will get him a nice carpet...
With the wedding photo etc..I think our bedroom will be.....the dream bedroom I have always wanted.
But...we do not have our wedding house. Therefore, my dream is not achieved yet. It's difficult, coz' i worried his parents are not ready to let him move out yet. I do not want to make them sad too.
So,...I still have to try to live in. I don't know till when. But through this period..I will have to feel like as if..I am renting a place from someone (kos)....
I felt depress sometimes. But..when u love someone, you got to sacrifice part of your life. When I am unhappy I will try to think that way.

Wedding Venue
Wedding venue gives us the most headache. Initially we have planned for a buffet party. However, his grandparents wish to have a table banquet party. I am perfectly fine for that, because I know, my parents and our overaseas guests will prefer banquest party too. It's kind of not...nice..when they come all the way, for a buffet party, where they need to stand.
We prefer hotels. Becauce we want a more prestigious wedding but within our budget. However, our budget is only half the cost people usually spend for their wedding at a grand ballroom in a hotel. But our guests are only half the numbers too.
We have viewed quite a number of venues, mostly are hotels such as:
-Four Season Hotel (5 stars) place is very beautiful, we are sure about the food, but the price is out of budget.
- Commerce Club (this is not hotel, but a prestigious club belong to Bakrie Group-a well known rich man in Indonesia) very nice place, but design is rather strange, however, it's not a hotel, so the image is not as prestigious. Food is nice.
- Shang ri la Hotel (5 stars) price is out of budget, ballroom is nice, food is not too good (we heard)
- Grand Hyatt Hotel (5 stars) very beautiful ballroom, but food is sucks, price is definitely out of budget.
- Nikko Hotel (4-5 stars) can hold table banquet, food is ok, price is out of budget and venue is old.
- Aryaduta Hotel (3-4 stars) can hold table banquet, food is delicious, price is within budget but venue is rather old.
- Le meridien Hotel (4-5 stars) cannot hold table banguet, not too old venue.

From all the venues that we have viewed, my first choice for table banquet will be Four Season Grand Ballroom. The other hotels are still more expensive. The best thing is of course, I can walk with my long gown that I have wished for.
As for Aryaduta, the venue is alright. It's not as grand as four season, but it's value for money. We can have better food. But We need to spend more on decoration and entartainment to make the party looks good. Overall it will still be alot cheaper than Four Season.

just phoned the attendant..and quite dissapointed because she said, there is min price of Rp. 300 jt ++ for the grand ball room. That means we need to spend...about Rp. 400 jt include decor for the whole party.

Catherine Bridal
I have just chosen my bridal...and I am very happy about it. Because it can offer me...a complete package.
- New gown (Not second!)
- Very nice album which they are willing to upgrade for us without additional price
- Free nice canvas..(in fact they gave us 2).
- Make up (bride, moms, and bridemaids include bridemaid's gown)
They are willing to print our outdoor Bali photo..at a good price include the album
and most importantly, it's within our budget.
It's hard to please everybody..I know...

I like cymberline gown, honestly..i will give it 9/10 satisfaction just for the gown. But to take the complete package it will cost us almost Rp. 45 million. However, the album photo etc, isn't actually better than Catherine.
Even if I take this one, he will be more than willing to buy for me. But what for, if I know, we can save that money for the future?
The dealed that we got, it's only a third of that price with almost similar package. It's new gown, coz' they are new bridal. And, I will give the gown 8/10 satisfaction. So why not?As for the album I have no complain about it. It's the best from all the many bridals and photography companies we have visited.

I had tried more than 10 gowns, and in every one of them, he will see me as pretty as I am wearing a normal clothes.
Bottom line, i am satisfied.
And I know, I will like a queen on my wedding day.

Looking for bridal & wedding band
~The wedding boutique~We had a busy weekend last week. Search around the town for bridals & wedding bands. We have six more months. And I wish to get everything done before 2009, so we won't be like any other couples who would be rushing for their wedding stuff a few months before the date.
Seems not possible yah?
Aniway, we visited quite a number of bridals. To mention here:
In Joy Bridal at Muara Karang (It's taiwanese style wedding gown, which wedding gown, I would give 6.5/10 grade). The bridal package is not that complete, and it costs around Rp. 22 million. I dislike their quality of wedding album and photos. So this is out!.
The wedding boutique.
It's new bridal, which only start the business this year. They have collections of famous western designer, and most of the gowns are from USA & Paris. I love it! but they do not offer gown with package. The price is high too. Rp. 17 million/gown with free bridemaid dress and blessing gown for church.
New brides.
The place was so packed with customers. It was one of the popular bridals. However, my bf doesn't like their service. And..I do not really like their gowns too (from magazines pictures) so we decide to skip this one.
New York Art
It's just a walking distance from my apartment. The boss came from the same howntown as me. It's new in jakarta but not new in medan. The package is quite value for money. The photos quality is the best from those we have seen. Unfortunately I do not find the gown that suit me. The package costs around Rp. 25 million (can still be discounted)
Yohannes Bridal (Local designer)
I was attracted with the package. It has a long list of bonuses..free this and that. The bonus alone will add up to be around Rp. 17 million. However the package only cost Rp. 26 million (for 2nd hand gown). For new gown need to add another 10 million.
The gown is light, and of prices can be negotiated because this is local designer. Actually I found their gowns were better than some of the taiwan and HK designers gowns. Don't underestimate indo artist. And I am seriously thinking, may be I should support them? If..they give me more discount..heehehe

Would like to share my feeling when I tried wedding gown for the first time!. It's such a great joy. You know, all this while when I look at wedding magazine, or went to some wedding dinner and parties, looking at how pretty and joyful the brides were, yesterdayI sort of felt 'alittle bit of it'. Wearing a wedding gown make a woman look so beautiful in her eyes and it was such a pride to wear it in front of the man that you love. Makes you look like a princess. Aniway, you will know what I mean when it's your turn :D

Flawless! It's a new shop. Local made bands, but designer from HK. The quality is not bad, even better than other HK made bands. Unfortunately we are not sure whether they can guarantee us good service for a long time.
Frank & Co!. Their service is reliable. It's a long and well established company. Wedding ring is also pretty smooth & good. But not as nice as Cartier. There are also bands below 10 million. The price ranges and designs are quite alot to choose.
I like the european concept of hidden blue saphire diamond! but the bride's ring's diamond is kind of too big. I don't want to wear big diamond ring for the rest of my life with the feeling of anxiety, afraid of robberry or losing it.
But I don' t mind if my hubby buy a big diamond ring for me, although I won't wear it, just put it in a safety box and look at it. Blings blings are nice to look at. hehehe.
I know woman is hard to understand :P
aniway, still confuse whether white gold is better or platinum. We just want a wedding band that show our character. Nothing too fancy.

Our Prewedding photo in Bali

Prewedding photo (1st Nov 2008 in Tanah Lot Bali)Every wedding starts from prewedding photo.
He was on business trip to Bali, and I had not been to Bali before, so I joined him over the weekend. We are so lucky to have found a nice photographer who was willing to charge as USD$50 less for the package that we choose. We did not want to waste our trip, so we thought why not take pre wedding photo in Bali during this trip. And ta tah..it turns out to be quite satisfying.
I managed to contact Denny, a photographer based in Bali. His website is here:
He charged as USD 150 for about 100 photos (20 edited) in soft copies. He came with another photographer (so total we had 2 photographers). Out of so many places in Bali, we chose Tanah Lot, and I was quite happy with the decision. Tanah Lot has such a unique metal colored sand and stones..and clean water.
Outdoor phototaking was quite tough. i wonder there is anybody outhere who seems to enjoy their outdoor prewedding photo without feeling tired. We had alot of fun..but oh well..it was a tough experience too. Standing on top of sharp stones, stepping the coral, climbing up and down the rock and hill, also include taking picture under heavy rain..when we were not so lucky.
But..it was romantic to hug each other under the rain (sorry i was too heavy for u haha)
Catching up the sunset...was tough too...thanks to our photographers who were quite patience with us, and willing to take pictures eventhough the rain was heavy.
Bali is a paradise. I love the food, I love the clean beach, I love the shop...it has everything I want..and it is so romantic...
