Happy New Year 2009!

Happy New Year 2009!
I am welcoming the new year with so much excitement. Year 2009 will definitely be an excellent year for me. First, I am getting married. It is going to be a special year. Finally I am off the shelf. Its good because I doesn't have to think that..if "I don't get married, my parents will continue to nag at me, coz' they don't want their daughter to be lonely when she is old". And second, my boyfriend (fiance now), will stop teasing me about spending the rest of my life with a "doggie". And third,....it's not that I believe in "fung shui", but, they said, my luck will be *Very Good* next year. So..I am expecting many Lucky Draw suprises..! (when you believe you are lucky you will, trust me on that)
Last year new year eve, we were what's that called?..a place at Raffles City waiting for the fire works count down, which fortunately, happened to be at the back of Fullerton Hotel. And we were, UNFORTUNATELY, at the front of Fullerton Hotel. At the last seconds of counting, we were running all the way, hoping to see some fireworks left. And thank God, we saw bits of it!
Oh well...we will take our indoor photoshoot soon. I am going to wear..extremely georgeous dresses. I love those dresses very much. They were sexy and cute!. With this new 'orange hair' that I had, I think I would look perfect!. Btw,..my hair, was a product of disasterous. I spent 4 hours in that new Saloon (below my apartment), because it got 30% discount. And..it turned out to be half orange, brown and black!. I scolded the damn gayish hairdresser before he would denially fix it!. It was supposed to be light brown YOU KNOW, not ORANGE!. So..please don't tell me it's orange..hiks hiks hiks :(
Tonite, I will be having new year eve dinner with my in law's to be's families (not my own families). Mom and Dad, sis, brow in law and my cute naughty nephew...will be counting the new year together in KL. My brother is missing,..fromt he picture, because he would rather choose to spend a quite nitez hoping he would be *Very Happy* (Oh God, I won't want to know what they would do that nite).
I am of course hoping, I would be spending the last few hours of year 2008 with my family. No matter how others treat you well, they are different. But I do thank God that they are nice...just that...the *Love* is different. It's impossible for someone else to love you like their own kids.
My mom would listen to my *stories* and entertain me, whether they were sad, happy, annoying stories, even I talk for hours and days or whatever,....even if we quarrel, but I could feel she LOVES me. I can angrily doubt that from my mouth, but in my heart, I don't.
My dad however, would cut fruits for me, without complaining I can never cut an orange or an apple well. And he knows what I like.
And most importantly, living in my own house, I won't be so afraid of waking up late...or taking a nap...
You know...it's very hard to be *different* living among everyone else that are the same.
I thank God...for *making my wish come true*. My eyes have recovered! Just a few days before the photoshoot. That's how great God is! He never fails to love me.
Btw,..watching Grey Anatomy, does improve my English :)

Wedding gown...

Went to choose wedding gown last friday nite. His mom and sister came with us. I was extremely tired after a long day of work, not really in the mood to try and think. Lucky i have his mom and sister to choose for me.

But we haven't found the gown that really suit me yet. Hope that there are more...to choose

Aniway, I have tried so many gowns before catherine, but still have not found one that I really like (except in Cymberline paris which is too expensive). But I have bought a simple gown from Cymberline, which I have redesigned. I'm more excited to see this one when it is ready. Going to wear it for our wedding party in Medan.

I chose 4 gowns for our indoor photo shooting. One of them is definitely the wedding gown itself. Two of them are night gowns (blue and brownish silver), the last one..is kind of interesting. We will be wearing kimono!

I think our indoor japanese style photo will look very cute.

Our photoshoot will be on the first day of the new year! That's really a good begining of the year.

Got to look for shoes...

Can't wait for the photoshoot...

Aniway, gotta see..eye doctor again tml. I hope...i can wear contact lens..on the photoshoot day!

Ritz Carlton or Four Season?

We are left with these 2 choices for our wedding venue...
I like Ritz Carlton but not sure if his parents prefer Four Season...
But hopefully whichever it is, we can decide by next week.

At least we have 1 more thing settled (don't have to worry about it anymore).

We will use the same deco company as his bro's and god sister's wedding.

Things that we have done:

- Bridal package
-Deco company
- Wedding ring
- Flight tickets for wedding purpose

We went to see Ancol Mansion just now. Planning to buy a house in the near future. Not now,...trying to save money first and hopefully his parents will be open and willing to let us try to leave by ourselves.

Hopefully we can smoothly find an affordable home for us. And of course hopefully everything goes smoothly.

Today is Indonesia mother's day. My mom nvr..has her own birthday. I had been wanting to wish her happy mother's day since morning. But no....I don't think I want to. What if she was in a bad mood and I get another scold for no reason. Don't think I can take it calmly..(capeeeee...)

Wedding preparation Certificate

Yeah..finally we graduated from this course after 3 days of tiring intensive learning. The course is very useful, but it's hard to concentrate when I was forced to wake up early. Spent half of the time sleeping secretly.

Aniway..Both of us are really happy we don't have to go through it again. Oh well, unless we decided to change our wedding partner (ha-ha)

"Finally we can Get Married! (in Catholic Church)..That's what he just said" :D

Christmas 2008

Last year Christmas was special. Because..He flew to Singapore just to spend Christmas with me with special mission :D (marriage proposal hehe). I still remembered those half a year when we had long distance relationship. But he always came to see me whenever there was special occassion. Those time was tough, but meaningful.

Now, we saw each other almost everyday. it is great too!

This year christmas is filled up with work and wedding preparation. I haven't even found something for him yet. I think I should, to keep christmas always a thanksgiving day for us. Both of us should thank God for this 1 year and I want to also thank him for loving me and taking care of me.

I was thinking whether we could have a day trip somewhere on the 24th evening and come back on the 25th? But is there any cheap but nice place to go?

I have never seen white Christmas before. It's good if we got married in December, then we could have white christmas in Europe. But don't think we will enjoy holiday in winter time because it will be too cold to go everywhere for shopping hehe.

I hope in 2010 I can spend Christmas in Canada (Can we go with my parents to find my aunt there?).

Parents

Last week, my mom came over for a week. The purpose of her trip was to find gowns for my wedding. We had planned for this trip quite some time. And of course, i was anticipating it.

But the first few days of her trip here, we were quarelling so badly. I wasn't thinking straight. My mom likes to say, I was rebellious. She would dig out the old stuff, brought it up, only to conclude that I was different with my siblings. I was so mad, until i threw things, shouted, cried, and I said, I hate her. I was vexed with many thoughts, about wedding, and this uexpected eye infection added to my burden. I was very much worried about financial and health. and I just couldn't listen to any more grumbles-although I knew she said things for my own good.

May be because I have not lived with my mom for years. So whenever she came, it will take me a few days to adjust to her presence, similarly, she would need time to understand my presence too.

But when she left. I felt something was missing. I missed her of course. Last nite, I woke up a few times, to find my mom wasn't sleeping beside me. And I missed that feeling of having a mom close to me.

Actually all this time, I always angry with her, only because I was jealous. I always thought she loves my siblings more.

I think, I was just a copy of my mom, we are as stubborn, that's why we nvr stop..fighting.

--

I guess it was only 2 years away that I will be a mom myself. And I do worry that I will have a daughter like myself. That's why I always said, I only wish to have 1 kid-a boy. Because I don't want to have a relationship like what I have in my mom.

But I think, God wants me to learn. And may be He will give me a daughter.

The first 2 days of Wedding preparation course

Last weekend, both of us attended wedding preparation course at Cathedral church.
Come to think of it, God does has His own plan for Every Children that He created.
Looking at the 42 couples who attended the course, I can see that, whether you are pretty, ugly, rich, poor, young or old, God has prepared a partner for you (if He already determined you won't be chosen as pastor or suster to serve Him).

I remember, when my sister was introduced to her husband via my mom. Mom said, both of them have many similar habits and characters: "Dua-duanya pelit, galak, and bochap". My mom said,..the way she saw me and my ex bf was like 'fire and water'. None of our characters and likings seem to match.

But now God has given me a life partner, that fit so well. He is not a perfect human in this world but he is a perfect husband for me.
--
I am also thankful that in this path of life, I was able to learn about God, being a christian since young, and now had finally become a true Catholic. I guess, all this things had been planned isn't it?

Although Catholic has so much traditional rules to follow, but I like the way they care for the community. Take a look at the Catholic wedding preparation course. Each couple only had to pay Rp. 200 ribu for the 3 days course. In each session we were given food and drink.

And of course those people who gave us the course did the volunteer job for free.

I see the wedding course as something compulsory for everyone who plan to get married. In the course you will learn about the purpose of marriage, marriage as sakramen, health and sexuality, communication, financial, etc...Things that you won't learn from your parents or sisters sometimes, because they are too shy to share with you their marriage life.

When a man and a woman are preparing for wedding, they are focusing on the preparation, but they have no time to think and imagine how life would be when they become husband and wife. Everything will be different compare to dating life. There are new responsibilities, new place, new people to live in, and of course they are so much new things and problems that will come a long the way.

We won't be told,..that marriage is Love Heaven. No, it's not. Marriage is actually learning about what life truly is, (Marriage is actually to fulfill God's purpose on us which we will find when we have children, and facing what they call, the ups and downs in life).

--
I never see marriage is something easy. In fact, if you ask every couple, they will say they are happy to anticipate the special day, but they will also feel scared, sad (to leave the parents), throwing away your single status and be ready for all the commitments etc.
But....

All this things...at the end of our life, I am sure, everyone of us will agree...We never live our life with regrets.

My groom

My mom said, my husband to be is a good man.
He is smart and reliable.
He can be a husband who takes care of the family.
And She thinks I am so blessed.

She likes him better than my sister's husband.

and She said,
I should not be worrying, and think too much about negative stuff.

She is right,

Sometimes we need the 3rd person to look at things for us.

Although i have a love and hate relationship with my mom, she always give me advice.

But our relationship (my mom and I) is nvr peaceful. A happy day will follow by a shouting night.
