God is teaching me...about people

Something that he and me have in common is that we are actually a very stiff person. In our wedding preparation course, there were 42 couples. But we didn't make any friends. We looked around, we saw some nice couples, but we didn't speak to any of them.

Yesterday in a wedding party, we saw this couple that we met during the course. So, we were nervously telling each other why not we tried to approach them and perhaps we can share with each other about wedding preparation. Finally, 1o mins later, we walked closer to them to say "Hi". And i know it sounded stupid when I started the conversation with, "Hey do u remember us? we met at the course, you picked up my tissue when I dropped it on the floor while we were eating that chicken lunch".

Ooops, she laughed @ me for remembering her that way.

Speaking about families, I think I am a lousy daughter & sister. Why? Because I don't put enough effort to be close to my families. Buying them things trying to repair the lost is not enough and I just realized it now.

For the past 10 years, my siblings only see me less than 2 weeks in a year. That's why I shouldn't blame them for not being understanding with me sometimes. Because I don't give them a chance to spend time with me and that's totally my fault. I don't even know what specific things that my sister or my brother likes.

And now, I began to know his families more than my own families only when I spent more time with them.

That sounds kind of pathetic. It is even sadder when thinking about it, I am not actually "sure" what my mom and dad likes.

Come to think of it, I couldn't turn back the time. But if I could, do something to ammend in the future, I would wish to go home more often after I am married (Not the other way around)

I am going to be 30 years old soon. That's pretty scary....

Wedding update

We got our wedding band last weekend and to our surprise, they don't fit on our fingers anymore. Both of us had put on weights in a month :(. I am making him putting on weight, coz' i want him to look bigger. And his mom is making me putting on weight, coz' she wants me to look prettier.

Oh btw,..we had promised each other to go to Gym every weekend for half an hour of exercising. We seriously need to move our body more..before we get too old to fix everything.

We had also seen our indoor-pre wedding photos. They were nice, especially those in japanese outfit. But we sort of being cheated by the bridal to add additional 2jt to get more photos for our album :(.

And..wedding in medan, there are still alot of things to settle. I have booked to view Grand Angkasa and Aryaduta for our wedding in Medan :) Will see the place when I go back for chinese new year.

I will spend 3 nites in medan for this Chinese New Year. It will be sort of my last chinese new year eve dinner with my family. Initially my mom wants to cook for us at home, coz it will be only 4 of us. It's hard to book a table in a restaurant or hotel. Aniway, they are thinking about money (it will be very expensive). But I decided to bring them to Mariott Hotel. I know that treat is nothing compare to those money they had spent on me when they brought me up, and also the money that they will give me for my wedding. So..i insisted to go ahead with this.

Next friday, I will be home! :D

PS. I am getting tired...it's a good feeling to go through all this, but I also hope it can be over soon.

New Year Pre-wed Photo Shoot

1st Jan 2009, we woke up at 9am. We packed our things, and then we went to MKG to have lunch at..PIZZA HUT. Didn't manage to eat my favorite chicken wings but I still like the pizza.

We bought a dozen of JCo Donut for the crews in my bridal studio and we reached there at 12pm. They started to put make up on me and styled my hair. There were 4 dresses that I wore during the photo shoot, and I could actually change my hair style 4 x too!.

It feels so so good to be very pretty, wearing gowns (include wedding gowns) and take pre-wed photos. It was a different feeling than our photoshoot in Bali. I actually asked my mom why 'we didn't seem to feel excited. He didn't look excited too during our Bali photos'. My mom said, when you took your real wedding photos in the studio with that gowns and proper make up, everything will feel magically different. She is right!

The boss of the bridal actually bought us 2 packets of Eaton meals. We hope..our prewedding photos will turn out good.

Happy New Year 2009!

I am welcoming the new year with so much excitement. Year 2009 will definitely be an excellent year for me. First, I am getting married. It is going to be a special year. Finally I am off the shelf. Its good because I doesn't have to think that..if "I don't get married, my parents will continue to nag at me, coz' they don't want their daughter to be lonely when she is old". And second, my boyfriend (fiance now), will stop teasing me about spending the rest of my life with a "doggie". And third,....it's not that I believe in "fung shui", but, they said, my luck will be *Very Good* next year. So..I am expecting many Lucky Draw suprises..! (when you believe you are lucky you will, trust me on that)

Last year new year eve, we were what's that called?..a place at Raffles City waiting for the fire works count down, which fortunately, happened to be at the back of Fullerton Hotel. And we were, UNFORTUNATELY, at the front of Fullerton Hotel. At the last seconds of counting, we were running all the way, hoping to see some fireworks left. And thank God, we saw bits of it!

Oh well...we will take our indoor photoshoot soon. I am going to wear..extremely georgeous dresses. I love those dresses very much. They were sexy and cute!. With this new 'orange hair' that I had, I think I would look perfect!. Btw,..my hair, was a product of disasterous. I spent 4 hours in that new Saloon (below my apartment), because it got 30% discount. And..it turned out to be half orange, brown and black!. I scolded the damn gayish hairdresser before he would denially fix it!. It was supposed to be light brown YOU KNOW, not ORANGE!. So..please don't tell me it's orange..hiks hiks hiks :(

Tonite, I will be having new year eve dinner with my in law's to be's families (not my own families). Mom and Dad, sis, brow in law and my cute naughty nephew...will be counting the new year together in KL. My brother is missing,..fromt he picture, because he would rather choose to spend a quite nitez hoping he would be *Very Happy* (Oh God, I won't want to know what they would do that nite).

I am of course hoping, I would be spending the last few hours of year 2008 with my family. No matter how others treat you well, they are different. But I do thank God that they are nice...just that...the *Love* is different. It's impossible for someone else to love you like their own kids.

My mom would listen to my *stories* and entertain me, whether they were sad, happy, annoying stories, even I talk for hours and days or whatever,....even if we quarrel, but I could feel she LOVES me. I can angrily doubt that from my mouth, but in my heart, I don't.

My dad however, would cut fruits for me, without complaining I can never cut an orange or an apple well. And he knows what I like.

And most importantly, living in my own house, I won't be so afraid of waking up late...or taking a nap...

You know...it's very hard to be *different* living among everyone else that are the same.

I thank God...for *making my wish come true*. My eyes have recovered! Just a few days before the photoshoot. That's how great God is! He never fails to love me.

Btw,..watching Grey Anatomy, does improve my English :)

Wedding gown...

Went to choose wedding gown last friday nite. His mom and sister came with us. I was extremely tired after a long day of work, not really in the mood to try and think. Lucky i have his mom and sister to choose for me.

But we haven't found the gown that really suit me yet. Hope that there are more...to choose

Aniway, I have tried so many gowns before catherine, but still have not found one that I really like (except in Cymberline paris which is too expensive). But I have bought a simple gown from Cymberline, which I have redesigned. I'm more excited to see this one when it is ready. Going to wear it for our wedding party in Medan.

I chose 4 gowns for our indoor photo shooting. One of them is definitely the wedding gown itself. Two of them are night gowns (blue and brownish silver), the last one..is kind of interesting. We will be wearing kimono!

I think our indoor japanese style photo will look very cute.

Our photoshoot will be on the first day of the new year! That's really a good begining of the year.

Got to look for shoes...

Can't wait for the photoshoot...

Aniway, gotta see..eye doctor again tml. I hope...i can wear contact lens..on the photoshoot day!

Our Wedding Venue

Yeah..I am so delighted!. Our wedding venue is finally confirmed. Thanks dar-dar (also thanks your parents for letting us get married in such a wonderful place).

We will only be inviting less than 300 guests include family, close relatives, close friends & colleagues.

Ritz Carlton or Four Season?

We are left with these 2 choices for our wedding venue...
I like Ritz Carlton but not sure if his parents prefer Four Season...
But hopefully whichever it is, we can decide by next week.

At least we have 1 more thing settled (don't have to worry about it anymore).

We will use the same deco company as his bro's and god sister's wedding.

We went to see Ancol Mansion just now. Planning to buy a house in the near future. Not now,...trying to save money first and hopefully his parents will be open and willing to let us try to leave by ourselves.

Hopefully we can smoothly find an affordable home for us. And of course hopefully everything goes smoothly.

Today is Indonesia mother's day. My mom nvr..has her own birthday. I had been wanting to wish her happy mother's day since morning. But no....I don't think I want to. What if she was in a bad mood and I get another scold for no reason. Don't think I can take it calmly..(capeeeee...)

Wedding preparation Certificate

Yeah..finally we graduated from this course after 3 days of tiring intensive learning. The course is very useful, but it's hard to concentrate when I was forced to wake up early. Spent half of the time sleeping secretly.

Aniway..Both of us are really happy we don't have to go through it again. Oh well, unless we decided to change our wedding partner (ha-ha)
